Volunteer

SCAA’s volunteers play a fundamental role in the delivery of various programs run by the Association.

You can volunteer through the following ways:

  • Provide regular visits to isolated elderly people in their home or aged care facility

  • Provide assistance in organising various activities, outings and events

Volunteering will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop new skills

  • Make new friends

  • Make a difference in other people’s lives

  • Enrich your experience and improve your chances of gaining entry into further training or paid work

SCAA will provide financial reimbursement for expenses related to volunteer work such as travel costs and fees to obtain a police check.

Job seekers aged 55 years and over can meet their Mutual Obligation Requirements by undertaking voluntary work through SCAA as an approved voluntary work provider.

Please contact us for more information about our current volunteer opportunities.
